OrganoClick hosted seminar on Green Chemistry

Sweden, 13th
of August 2011 – As
part of OrganoClick’s increased activities within the field of Green
Materials and Green Chemistry, a seminar focusing on these issues were
organized by OrganoClick and Anders Wall on Tuesday 13th of
September. Participants included Magnus Emfel, responsible for Climate innovations
at the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF), Erik Noaksson, head of the Jegrelius
Institute of Applied Green Chemistry, Tomas Wadström from Cleantech Inn
Sweden, Anders Eliasson, Invest Sweden, and professor Armando Córdova,
Mid-Sweden University. During the seminar, topics such as wood preservatives,
textile chemicals and green catalysis were brought up to discussions and how
Green Chemistry can be used in these fields and create new business
opportunities.

Communicating
environmental benefits of products was also a topic that was heavily discussed.
“Communicating the great environmental benefits of OrganoClick’s products is
probably one of the most important things in order to attract customers and
influence policy makers”, concluded Erik Noaksson, head of the Jegrelius
Institute of Applied Green Chemistry.
